We continuously strive to provide an environment free from all harm by promoting a positive safety culture, which puts our employees and customers at the center of everything we do.

 

Critical points

  • All safety procedures for the facility should be followed at all times.

  • Report unsafe conditions to a supervisor or Risk Management.

  • If an injury occurs, follow the proper Freeman protocols to assist the injured worker and report the injury (provide first aid, take them to first aid, call 911 if the injury is serious, notify Risk Management, notify their supervisor, notify the facility / security, etc).

  • Do you know where to meet if there is a need to evacuate?  (Share the meeting place / muster point with the group at this time).

Key points

  • Emergency preparation and immediate response is critical for everyone's safety.

  • In case of an emergency, contact security at the facility / venue so that the proper reporting protocols can be followed (share the contact number with the group at this time).

  • Listen to and follow emergency announcements made by the facility.

  • Don't walk away from a hazard.  Stay there and wait for a response.

  • Take emergency drills seriously.  Be prepared.

  • Pay attention to your surrounds at all times.

  • Keep all emergency exits easily accessible.

  • Do you know how to account for your employees during an emergency? (Answer: labor check-in sheets)

  • Do you know how to prepare for, and respond to, certain emergency situations (extreme weather, earthquakes, fire, flood, active shooter, extreme heat or cold)?

  • Remember:  If you see something, say something.
