Slips, trips and falls

Opener

We continuously strive to provide an environment free from all harm by promoting a positive safety culture, which puts our employees and customers at the center of everything we do.

Key points

  • Work areas need to be clear of all trash and debris.

  • Carpet tubes need to be moved out of the aisles and placed to the side to be picked up.

  • Tape balls should be thrown away and not left on the ground.

  • Torn Visqueen needs to be taped to avoid tripping.

  • Avoid climbing over crates and skids.

  • Spilled liquids should be cleaned up immediately.

  • If tripping hazards exist, contact a supervisor or Risk Management and wait for them to show up before you leave the hazard.

  • Never jump from loading docks, ladders, stairs, stages, or other elevated locations.

  • Do not over-reach on ladders or climb the safety rails of lifts.

  • Remember: if you see something, say something.

Wrap up

It is the responsibility of all employees to be familiar with safety procedures and adhere to all safety practices designed to prevent accidents and injuries.
